This is a guided Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR). It's a very effective way to relax. This is especially so, if more traditional forms of meditation don't bring you the kind of relaxation your body requires.
It is a little more active than general meditation. It's more of an exercise. You'll tensing up, and then relax different parts of your body.
